The ECOHOMY project is a European project part of the ERASMUS + and
supported by the Compagnie du Théâtre des Chemins in partnership with the University of Grenoble-Alpes Cermosem, B.A.A.T. (Bulgarian Association for Alternative Tourism) in Bulgaria, and the third place BASIS, cultural center in South Tyrol (Italy).
Launched in February 2020, the project focuses on the collection, analysis and enhancement of intangible cultural heritage (songs, legends, words of inhabitants) through artistic and cultural mediation. The ECOHOMY project is a European project part of the ERASMUS + and

MEETINGS WITH LOCALS
Sharing training tools and a directory of oral heritage mediaECOHOMY is the multiplication of meetings with the inhabitants of 3 rural territories:
-
the valley of the Baume and the Drobie in Ardèche (France),
-
the Dryanovo region in the Rhodope Mountains (Bulgaria),
-
the Val Venosta region in South Tyrol (Italy)
These meetings are intergenerational and real (no video!): they are undertaken by young Europeans (French, Bulgarian, Italian) between 18 and 30 years old. Curious about what rural life has been like in the past, what it has become or what it will become in the future, these young people, supervised by the ECOHOMY team, go in search of stories, stories, songs or legends.

All the interviews from which the walks are drawn were recorded with respect for people and anonymized. All the corpus of inhabitant lyrics (French, Bulgarian and South Tyrolean) are now archived at the AMTA (Agence des Musique des territoires d'Auvergne) https://amta.fr. TRAINING TIMES
ECOHOMY is the organization of 5 workshops allowing mixed Franco-Bulgarian, Italian-French-Bulgarian groups to exchange their culture and to be in total immersion on one of the 3 experimental territories (Ardèche, Rhodopes, South Tyrol). During these workshops, the Ecohomy team teaches:

interview techniques based on role plays and offers concrete experiences with the inhabitants, the real ones!

ways of understanding rural territories by analyzing their components and proposing a reflection on the development of alternative tourism based on culture.

moments of shared artistic creation: exploration of his voice, oral expression, accompaniment of the public, staging of the landscape.
THE HISTORY OF CO-CREATIONS SEEN AND EXPERIENCED BY THE INHABITANTS

WALKS SHOWS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND PUBLICATIONS OF « Carnets de paroles en balade »
ECOHOMY is a gift offered to locals, curious people and tourists: these are the words of the inhabitants unveiled in an artistic form. Come and listen to the song, the music, the poetry of these unsuspected worlds that will be told to you.
The walks shows is a time of walking on the trails of an hour and a quarter approximately. A total duration of three hours.

Results:
> The ECOHOMY project was 9 performances and for each 3 hours of stories, walks, songs and tales.
> More than 600 people were able to discover one or the other of these walks.
> These are 7 notebooks of "lyrics on a walk" taken from the shows, edited by hundreds and all downloadable.

- Two methodological guides that capitalize on the experiences of the Ecohomy project: a global method to collect oral testimonies and enhance them through artistic practices, a step towards new resources for rural territories.

- The development of a directory of oral heritage mediators listed by category: mediators, artists, resource centres (sound library, house of orality, etc.), pilot intercommunalities in Europe: répertoire des médiateurs du patrimoine oral européen.
Guarantee of training guides:
To certify the quality of the training tools shared, each project partner has a specific role:

the Cie du Théâtre des Chemins plays the role of coordinator and booster of innovation in terms of cultural mediation,
B.A.A.T. (Bulgarian Association for Alternative Tourism's), a Bulgarian association that acts in the field of ecotourism, guarantees the feasibility of the tools as a response to current social and economic imperatives, (Website B.A.A.T. : here) -
CERMOSEM, a branch of the Université Grenoble Alpes, located in the Ardèche - plays the role of evaluator "in itinere". He takes a reflective look at all the actions undertaken during the project. Results:
> The ECOHOMY project consists of two guides that will multiply each year the young people who will be introduced to the mediation of the European oral heritage.
> The ECOHOMY project is the possibility of continuing the links between: local authorities, cultural actors, tourism actors, inhabitants and young mediators, thanks to a referencing of about fifty structures and individuals carrying the European oral heritage.
The ECOHOMY project: it is 2 years and a half of work, 4 European partners, and a grant from Europe of 244,900 euros for all its achievements.
